Esta noche se viene el Eclipse Lunar
Se acerca el Eclipse Lunar parcial más largo del siglo. Es una oportunidad inédita para poder observarlo y será visible en Argentina. Según el Ministerio de Medio Ambiente (Observatorio informa) inicia a la 1:18 y termina a las 4:47.
Este jueves 18 de noviembre por la noche, y hasta la madrugada del viernes 19, el continente americano podrá apreciar un eclipse parcial de Luna llena debido a que el satélite será cubierto por la sombra del planeta Tierra. Será el último del año y el más largo del siglo.
Este fenómeno que será único en este siglo XXI se producirá en la madrugada del este 19 de noviembre, cuando la luna se deslice en la sombra de la Tierra.
Según cálculos de la Administración Nacional de Aeronáutica y el Espacio (NASA), el eclipse durará alrededor de 3 horas y 28 minutos, lapso en el cual la sombra de la Tierra cubrirá en un 97,4% de la luna, por lo que no quedará completamente a oscuras como en un eclipse total.
De acuerdo a lo que se informó, una enorme franja del planeta será la que podrá ver al menos parte del eclipse. Esto incluye a regiones como América del Norte y del Sur, Asia oriental, Australia y la región del Pacífico.
La NASA transmitirá en vivo el fenómeno a través de distintas plataformas para que nadie se lo pierda.
Para observar este fenómeno no se necesitarán equipos especiales, telescopios ni gafas, según informó la NASA, solo esperar que la noche esté despejada y mirar hacia el cielo para ver los cambios en la luna. La recomendación, para poder apreciarlo mejor, es evitar la contaminación lumínica de las ciudades y buscar un despejado.
No es necesario adoptar medidas de prevención para poder verlo de forma directa, a diferencia de lo que ocurre con los eclipses solares. El eclipse de luna no implica ningún peligro para la vista.
Cabe recordar que este será el segundo eclipse lunar del año, con su antecedente más cercano el pasado 26 de mayo. En aquella oportunidad se había dado el fenómeno de un eclipse total.
En el caso puntual de la provincia y ciudad de Buenos Aires, el eclipse lunar sólo podrá observarse de forma parcial, según informa el sitio especializado Meteored.
Mientras que la parte penumbral comenzará a las 3:02 de la madrugada de este viernes, el eclipse parcial se verá a las 4:18 a.m.
En tanto, el máximo de la sombra se espera para las 6:02 de la mañana, pero esto no será visible desde el territorio bonaerense porque la Luna ya estará oculta en el horizonte.
Para las 5.39 de la madrugada se espera observar la parte más avanzada del eclipse en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, con una Luna que tendrá más de la mitad de su superficie rojiza.
Esto se da cuando este satélite natural resulta cubierto por la sombra de la Tierra, la cual estará reflejando la luz del sol, dotando a la luna de esta tonalidad. (VW)
